About the Course:
AFP’s CFRE Review Course Independent Study allows maximum flexibility and easily accessible content at your fingertips. You may take the entire course, or focus on an individual module. Conveniently, you can complete the course at your own pace via your desktop computer. Please note that the Independent Study course differs from the revised face-to-face version of the 2009 AFP CFRE Review Course. Although the Independent Study course was last revised in 2004, much of the same material is covered in both the face-to-face and independent study versions. If you prefer to learn at your own speed and review for the exam independently, this course is designed for you! We do suggest supplementing your study of the course materials with the suggested books on the CFRE Reading List (available on the CFRE International website, www.cfre.org), where you may also obtain sample questions provided by CFRE International.
Who should attend?
The course was developed for intermediate-level fundraising professionals who want a quick and comprehensive overview of fundraising principles, at a step above the fundamental level. Participants will get the chance to learn from esteemed fundraising professionals, who have completed the AFP Faculty Training Academy and are now AFP Master Trainers.
What will I learn?
Learn key concepts that fundraising professionals should know after five years of experience in the field. If you are working toward your CFRE, taking this course will assist you in learning or reviewing concepts covered in the CFRE exam as detailed in the Test Content Outline provided by CFRE International.* If you are taking the course to learn new concepts and skills, the course will allow you to review what you already know and build on that knowledge. The AFP CFRE Review Course Independent Study consists of eight content modules. Each module contains content, questions for discussions, activities and other ideas and suggestions for engaging participants in reviewing the material.
